Greetings Brothers & Guests,
Welcome to the Delta Rho Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated website and thank you for taking the time to visit. Delta Rho Lambda is located in San Antonio, Texas and has served as a progressive voice of Alpha in the Alamo City since its chartering in 1949. The chapter is committed to being change agents in the communities of San Antonio by implementing the National Programs/Special Projects mandated by the Fraternity’s Corporate Headquarters as well as implementing programs based on the needs of the communities we serve. As members of our great Fraternity, we are charged to hold the light high and that is just what we are doing in San Antonio, Texas.
As Brothers of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated, we serve the citizens of the Alamo City through a number of signature events and programs. Through our Alpha Mentorship Program (AMP), we partnered with IDEA School Monterey Park to mentor middle school boys to teach them fundamentals like manhood, how to dress in business attire, goals setting for higher education, and personal finance. Efforts like these allow the men of Delta Rho Lambda to pay it forward to the young men in our community.
Likewise, events such as our annual Toy Dance and Seven for Seven are designed to provide toys and meals for families in need during the holiday season. We are active in helping drive social change politically through our “A Voteless People Is a Hopeless People” program working hard to ensure we register voters and by providing access to candidates via political forums. We also hold town hall meetings to address important issues like gun violence and police and community relations. The chapter also presents Project Alpha annually. Project Alpha is designed to provide education, motivation and skill-building on issues of responsibility, relationships, teen pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases. We also show our support by joining our other Greek Brothers and Sister in the annual Relay for Life, March for Babies and the San Antonio MLK March.
Delta Rho Lambda takes pride in knowing it has and continues to make a difference in San Antonio, TX since 1949. In addition, Delta Rho Lambda also provides for charitable endeavors through our Alpha Education Foundation highlighted by our annual MLK Scholarship Breakfast.
If you like the work we are doing and want to support our efforts, please become a sponsor or make donations through our Alpha Fund of San Antonio Inc. 501(c)(3). We strive to make our community better and enlist your help to push our efforts even further. It is our goal to bring forward the next generation, to give back to our communities, lead through service and to change the world one life at a time!
